Description |
 |
| |
| Tungsten
heavy alloy has high melting point. Its density is twice as heavy
as steel and more than 50% heavier than lead. Tungsten heavy alloy
has excellent radiation resistance, electric and thermal conductivities
and corrosion resistance. It is machinable. It has small coefficient
of expansion and large modulus of elasticity. So it is extensively
used in military equipments, balance weights, aircraft components,
nuclear and medical shields, fishing and sport tackles etc. Our
capacity is about 100 tons a year. |
| 4.
Applications |
 |
| |
4.1 Penetrators and Shrapnel
Heads Our tungsten heavy alloys are widely used in military, such as
Penetrators, Shrapnel heads etc. In the form of Shafts for Penetrators and Shrapnel Heads (Diameter
3mm above) X (Length up to 600mm), Balls and Cubes min. 2.5mm and
other Bars etc.
4.2 Radiation Shields Tungsten alloys have much higher shielding capacity for the X-rays,
¦Â-ray and ¦Ã-ray etc. than Lead owing to the high density. They
are extensively used in medical, nuclear and oil detection shielding.
4.3 Counterbalance The most important characteristics of the tungsten heavy alloy
is its high density which is especially suitable for components
of small size and high weight, such as, Aircraft balance weights,
Heavy pole for oil detection, Fishing lures, Vibrators for pager
and Balance weights for golf racket etc.
4.4 Boring Bars The modulus of elasticity for tungsten heavy alloys is about 1.5
times that of steel. Tungsten alloys have very good rigidity. They
are especially used for the support bars of cutting tools to prevent
vibration.
4.5 Others Applications Our products are also widely used for Dart billets, Helicopter
rotor blades and Dampening blocks etc.
|
| 5. Important |
 |
| |
| We can produce W-Ni-Cu non-magnetic heavy alloys as well. |
